TYSIC x SPRINT

SPRINT is a technology and entrepreneurship competition designed to challenge teams to solve real-world problems with innovative tech solutions while developing sustainable business models. This year’s event awarded over $15,000 in seed funding, including $1,000 microgrants from the 1517 Fund. Finalists pitched in front of a high-caliber judging panel that included founders, venture capitalists, and industry veterans.

In previous years, SPRINT has offered students more than just funding. Finalists have earned internships at Scotiabank, received additional grants from the 1517 Fund of $100k, and presented in front of top-tier judges (CEOs, startup founders, and business leaders with decades of experience). Guest speakers have helped shape students’ thinking around innovation, leadership, and sustainability, making SPRINT not just a competition, but a launchpad for turning ambitious ideas into meaningful ventures.
